Alarms
An alarm is raised when a collected value falls outside its 'normal' range of values. This normal range is defined by thresholds and severities configured for the alarm. A new alarm is raised each time the severity for the alarm changes. When the severity returns to normal, the alarm is canceled.
Alarms panel
Use the alarms panel to inquire into outstanding alarms on the current monitoring page: heatmap, overview or drilldown.
Outstanding alarms
The outstanding alarms display is common to many drilldown pages. It answers the question - how many alarms of each severity are raised against this drilldown or drilldown panel?
